Bumper.cc: a self hosted, open-source, snooze button for your emails.

Companies like followup.cc, nudgemail, and followupthen have really made zero inbox possible, and I think they are all awesome.

I was sad when I first found out about them, because no matter how bad I wanted to use one, I just can’t allow third parties access to my emails. Much of what comes through my inbox every day relates to my clients businesses, and is sometimes highly sensitive data. Even sharing just an email header is unacceptable when it’s not my data to share.

So I opened up my “upcoming projects” document and typed in “OpenSource followup.cc”

I just wanted a bare bones version I could host myself, so I have full control over my data and maintain 100 percent privacy. I figured enough people who would love to use a service like this are also held back by privacy concerns, so I made the setup super easy and fast.

You can download bumper.cc and look at the install/usage instructions at http://www.bumper.cc and if you want to fork it on GitHub, you’re awesome, you can do that here.
